Comics
Creating black and white comics is a key part of the Monochrome Mythology mission. I believe it’s one of the best ways to tell impactful stories for both niche and mainstream audiences.
Burden

Andy is an army veteran attending Middle Tennessee State University, eager to get his college degree and live a normal civilian life. However, he is haunted by the memories of his military past. Will Andy be able to move forward or will he be mired in trauma?
“The Burden Graphic Novel by Andrew and Jeremy Sosnick is a brave and compelling portrayal of those who struggle with their mental health. This novel captures the isolation and shame that so often accompanies trauma survivors, particularly Veterans. This story weaves a narrative of the complex situations OEF/OIF Veterans experienced during combat. It simultaneously captures both the hope and guilt that can accompany the healing process. It covers a sensitive and stigmatized topic in a way that feels accessible and humanizing. This is a must read for any Veteran who feels alone in their trauma, or struggles to believe that they deserve to heal. If you know or love a Veteran and want to better understand their trauma and moral injury, please buy and read this graphic novel!” -Emma Diaz, Ph.D., Trauma Psychologist
The first short comic book offering from my brother, Andrew, and I, Burden is now available on Amazon! In addition to the 16-page story, it also includes a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Burden, an artist gallery of drawings created during the time of the comic’s events, and an author interview. We’re pleased that we can bring Andrew’s story to a wider audience.
Burden retails for $9.99 USD (paperback edition) and $4.99 USD for the Kindle Edition/eBook.
